Key Features & Typical Use
Where Two Pairs Would Otherwise Be Needed
The normal configuration of switching on or off the hallway and landing lights from either end of the circuit involves the use of four single-pole-double-throw (SPDT) switches. With the introduction of a modular two-way switch, the number of switches required in this circuit is cut down to two which again simplifies the layout on staircases with the reduction in the number of switches on the staircase wall.
Ordering in Positions, Not Circuits
Instead of multiplying the number of positions with the number of switches per position, the process of determination should be done in terms of circuits. In the case of two circuits that use the controlling points and the double switches, the requirement will be two EF007 modules — at each side of the installation. The described calculation must take place before placing the order.
Short Plate for Stair Walls
For the most part, placement of the flights and landing depends on two walls which are limited by the flights. The pilot has to be placed in between the line of the handrail and the head of the door, although it may appear that removing only a small height of panel of 7 mm is not important.
Consistent with the EF Range
The metal structure of this apparatus involves red copper. Here, an alloy contact is involved. The panel consists of PC. It is available either in the state of a finished panel or as a module to be incorporated into the EF frame system. However, an installer can mount the whole thing in such a way that he installs two two-pole switches up and down the stairway and the rest single modules-from the same family of products.

EF-007 – Halving the Plate Count on a Stair or Landing
The conventional arrangement which consists of two circuits and two positions implies a hall and a landing light being controlled both from the top and from the bottom of the stairs. The entire construction is composed of single modules – there are four plates on two positions, thus they have to be in perfect correspondence with each other and with the geometry of stairs. In this case, the use of double switches brings the project down to two plates and eliminates the alignment issue.
During the refurbishment, the configured plan ought to be agreed upon with what is in existence instead of being created from scratch. It could be the case that the stairwell already contains a handrail or even a heater, and the end points could depend on the box already present. The dimensions of the panel are 80 by 73 cm, which gives it less area when it comes to installation, while by using the modular option, it is possible to combine the switch with other equipment in case the location is used for more than lighting.

Factory-Direct OEM / ODM Manufacturer
We Manufacture, You Brand
Panel tooling in-house · PC moulding and copper contacts · OEM branding
- OEM branding – logo on the plate, custom carton and instruction sheet.
- ODM options – panel format, plate colour, module mix and packaging format.
- Testing – function and electrical tests recorded for each production batch.
- MOQ – flexible per item; confirmed with the quotation for your configuration.

Buying Guide
- List the positions where two or more circuits are controlled together and note the circuits at each.
- Multiply switches per position by the number of positions to get the modules required.
- Confirm whether each circuit needs two positions or more; more than two needs the intermediate module EF-003.
- Check the available wall space at each position against the 80 x 73mm panel.
- Approve a sample plate and confirm quantities and configuration with our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many double two way switches do I need for two circuits?
The calculations must be made according to the following basis: two if both the circuits are controlled from the same two positions, that is, there is one double switch at each of the positions. We arrive at quantities by taking the number of positions and multiply it by the number of switches per position.
Can each gang be switched independently?
It is correct. Each rocker switch functions electrically independently. The two circuits are controlled separately despite sharing the same plate that permits separate operation of the hall and landing lights from either side.
What is the difference between this and a 2 gang 1 way switch?
There are rockers for the two circuits in the EF-006, working in one-way mode and having a single position each. The EF-007 features rockers for the two circuits in a two-way mode that also allows controlling the circuits from the second position.
Is the panel suitable for an existing staircase wall?
This panel measures 80 x 73mm and is to be used in tight spaces like stair walls where it has to be inserted between already present features. Always measure the gap and screw spacing before making an order.
Can the two way run be extended to a third position?
Certainly! This is accomplished by placing intermediate modules (EF-003) in between the two ends of the route. The intermediate modules create extra locations while the two ends of the route are kept on both ends of the route.
Can it be mixed with other EF devices in one order?
The fact is that EF switches, sockets, and data modules have identical frames and finishing of the plates; therefore, the refurbishment order can be composed of items from one series. MOQ is a guaranteed figure per item fixed in the quotation, and OEM branding can be applied as well.
