Stainless Steel 2 Gang Switches – Double Wall Switch in One Metal Panel
The A20-008/009 stainless steel 2 gang switches are an excellent choice for applications where traditional plastic wall switches cannot withstand the rigors of the environment. This double wall switch configuration combines two independent rockers in one 75 mm x 120 mm stainless steel housing to control two separate lighting circuits from one location in the wall. The two gang positions can be set either as single pole (1 way) switches for simple on/off control of the electricity or as three-way (2 way) switches for control of one circuit from two different places using the same switch. Each gang is rated at 10 A or 16 A / 250 V. Both gangs of rockers consist of red copper and silver alloy contacts and a genuine stainless steel front plate. They’re UL listed and have a 12-year warranty.
As a factory-direct manufacturer, we offer competitive wholesale pricing, OEM labelling on the stainless steel panel, and a 12-year warranty on the entire A20 series line of products.
Independently Operated by Two Rockers – Configurable as Single-Pole or Three-Way Switches
| Model | Circuits | Rockers | Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| A20-008/010 | 2 Gang 1 Way | 1 Way (Single Pole) each rocker | Two circuits, both from same point — kitchens, living rooms. |
| A20-009/011 | 2 Gang 2 Way | 2 Way (3-Way) each rocker | Two circuits, both from two points — stairways, hallways. |
This A20 2 Gang Switch has two independently operated rockers. Rocker #1 can be wired as a 1 Way Switch (single pole switch) providing basic on/off functionality, while rocker #2 can be configured as a 2 Way Switch (3-way switch) providing control for stairway lighting — both using a standard 75mm wide x 120mm high switch panel. Both rockers use the same red copper with silver alloy contact components, thus ensuring similar durability and reliability between circuits; neither will be derated or share componentry.
Stainless Steel Construction – Built Where Plastics Fail!
These switches are made from genuine stainless steel with a real stainless steel finish — NO PLASTIC COATING OR FAUX METAL FINISHES! When compared to typical plastic wall switches, the metal surface gives you much greater protection against scratching and corrosion in humid or other harsh conditions. Therefore, it is ideal for use in commercial kitchens, workshops, laboratories, and high-traffic areas where you will have typical 2 gang light switch panels wearing out from use after just a few months. The brushed finish will minimize the visibility of fingerprints while maintaining a clean panel using standard stainless steel cleaner. The metal surface is supported by a rigid middle plate available in either black plastic, white plastic, or black-painted metal with white plastic. The metal surface comes in a gray color, allowing it to coordinate with other A20 series products to form an overall industrial look.

How to Choose the Right 2 Gang Stainless Steel Switch
This is a practical guide to selecting models, middle plate options, and wiring for the A20 Series Double Wall Switch.
A20 008/010 or A20 009/011: Which Model Do You Need?
The A20 008/010 (1 Way) version is a 2 gang switch, allowing each of the two circuits to be controlled from one location only (typical kitchen and living room configuration).
To control a circuit from two different locations, you will need the A20 009/011 (2 Way / 3 Way) version, which is used in stairways and hallways to operate lights from two ends. The A20 008/010 (1 Way) model is most commonly used and is therefore the less expensive option.
Why Choose A Stainless Steel Switch Over A Plastic Switch?
Switching to stainless steel offers many benefits, such as superior scratch and corrosion resistance in very humid environments and an industrial-style aesthetic. Stainless steel may be the ideal switch for commercial kitchens, construction, lab spaces, or high-end residential buildings where plastic switches will not perform properly or will not look good. The brushed finish makes cleaning easy and minimizes the appearance of fingerprints.
Wiring A Double Wall Switch
Each gang in a double wall-switch contains its own common, L1, and L2 terminals. Connect the live wire to the common on the first gang, then bridge the common to the second gang and connect each load wire from the load to its respective gang’s L1 terminal. If either circuit of either gang is wired as a 2 way circuit, install traveller wires on L1 and L2 terminals of that gang.
Each of the rockers operates independently of all others; however, the common is the same and it is acceptable to wire one gang as 1 way and the other gang as 2 way on the same wall switch. The A20 series double wall switch installs into standard-sized (75mm x 120mm) U.S. wall boxes.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a 2 gang stainless steel switch?
A 2 gang stainless steel switch has two independent rockers on a single metal wall plate. Each rocker controls its own separate lighting circuit — for example, main ceiling lights on one gang and under‑cabinet lights on the other. The A20-008/009 uses a genuine stainless steel front panel, making it more durable than standard plastic wall switches in kitchens, commercial spaces, and high‑traffic areas.
Does a stainless steel switch rust or show fingerprints?
The A20 series uses genuine stainless steel for the front panel, providing excellent resistance to rust, corrosion, and tarnishing — even in humid environments. The brushed finish minimizes the visibility of fingerprints compared to polished surfaces. Regular cleaning with standard stainless steel cleaner will maintain the panel’s appearance.
Can I mix 1-way and 2-way wiring on the same 2 gang switch?
Yes, each rocker on this double wall switch is fully independent. You can wire gang 1 as 1 way (Single Pole) for basic on/off and gang 2 as 2 way (3-Way) for two‑location control — all from the same 75×120mm stainless steel panel. Both configurations share the same red copper internals.
Is this stainless steel switch compatible with standard US wall boxes?
Yes, the 75×120mm panel is the standard US form factor, designed to mount directly into North American wall boxes without adapters or modifications.
