Slim Wall Switches / Slim Aluminum Wall Switches – 3 Premium Finishes, 1 Ultra Thin Design
The DN70301/DN70302/DN70313 Slim Switch Series is not just another wall switch; it combines an ultra-slim (88 x 86mm) wall switch with 3 different front panel materials which are not available from any other range. The tempered glass surface finishes provide an ultra-glossy and fingerprint-resistant finish, brushed aluminum provides an extremely cool metallic industrial look, while the imported Polycarbonate provides an affordable classic look.
All three switches have the same red copper and silver internal mechanism and carry the British Standard Compliance (BSEN61889).
DN70301 and DN70302 (1 Way, 2 Way, 3 Way Configurations) are rated 10A and DN70313 (1 Way Configuration Only) is rated 16A and can be used throughout Commercial and Residential Interior Decorating projects.
Tempered Glass Panel — Glossy Reflective Premium: The glass switches are manufactured using a tempered glass front plate which gives the glass switch a very gloss mirror finish and better withstands fingerprints and smudges than standard plastic-faced switches. The glass wall switch is the best option for luxury residential and boutique hotel projects (White, Gold, Grey, Black colours).
Brushed Aluminium Panel — Metallic Industrial Distinction: The brushed aluminium wall switch has a brushed front panel which provides a subtle metallic texture, creating an industrial look on the wall where they are installed. The design of these aluminium wall switches makes them a suitable option for today’s kitchen designs and also suits the needs of modern commercial buildings. The aluminium will resist scratching and will look good after years of use.

Red Copper & Silver Internals – All Panels Use The Same Mechanism
The internal mechanism of the wall switches (whether it be the glass wall switch, aluminium wall switch or PC wall switch) is all the same. Each wall switch has a copper bus bar system with a Φ3.0×25mm silver alloy touch point which controls the switching operation, therefore reducing the effect of contact resistance and arc burning. Two different options are available for the middle plate of the wall switch: either standard steel that provides a rigid structural base or plastic-wrapped steel that has a similar rigidity but offers a significant reduction in weight. The base is made from high-strength polycarbonate. The wall switch dimensions of 88×86mm will fit onto a standard British back box; the extra 2mm in height makes this slimline version of the switch have a subtler contemporary vertical aspect.

Choosing Between Glass, Aluminum, and PC Wall Switches
Selection guidance for importers and contractors specifying material finishes for slim electrical switches.
Panel Material Selection Guide
Tempered glass wall switch: The premium choice — glossy, reflective, fingerprint‑resistant. Best for luxury homes, boutique hotels, and high‑end residential where aesthetics are the priority. Brushed aluminum wall switch: Metallic industrial finish, scratch‑resistant. Ideal for modern apartments, office fit‑outs, and commercial spaces with exposed services or industrial styling. PC panel: Classic high‑strength finish at the most accessible price. Suitable for volume residential and commercial builds. All three materials share the same internal mechanism and 12‑year warranty.
Application Use Cases
For luxury residential, the glass wall switch in gold or black creates a striking feature on kitchen and living room walls. In boutique hotels, the glass version provides a high‑end tactile experience that guests notice. For modern commercial offices, the aluminum wall switch complements other metal fixtures and partitions. Across all applications, the slim profile sits closer to the wall than standard switches — a subtle detail that architects and interior designers value.
Installation Note
The 88×86mm panel fits standard British back boxes. Wiring follows standard practice: common, L1, and L2 terminals per gang. For 1‑way, use common and L1. For 2‑way, add the traveler to L2. For 3‑way (DN70313), the switch is wired between two 2‑way switches for multi‑location control of one circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a glass wall switch?
A glass wall switch uses a tempered glass front panel instead of the standard plastic or metal finish. The DN70 series glass wall switch features a glossy, reflective surface that resists fingerprints and smudges. It’s the premium finish option for electrical switches for home and hotel interiors where aesthetics matter as much as function.
Is an aluminum wall switch durable?
Yes, the DN70 aluminum wall switch uses a brushed aluminum front panel treated for scratch resistance. It withstands daily use in commercial and high‑traffic residential settings while maintaining its metallic finish. The internal mechanism is the same red copper and silver contact system used across all DN70 panel materials, so durability is not compromised by the choice of finish.
Can I mix glass, aluminum, and PC switches in the same room?
Yes, all three panel materials share the same 88×86mm dimensions and the same four color options. You can specify a glass wall switch for visible feature walls, aluminum for utility areas, and PC for bedrooms — all from the same DN70 series with a consistent slim profile and uniform color palette.
What is a 3-way switch?
A 3‑way switch, as offered by the DN70313, enables control of a single lighting circuit from three or more locations. This is different from “3 gang,” which means three switches on one plate controlling three separate circuits. The DN70313 is a 1 gang 3 way switch that works with two other 2‑way switches for multi‑point lighting control — equivalent to what the North American market calls a 4‑way switch.
