Key Features & Typical Use
Three Groups, One Position
The modern lighting system consists of the following zones – the kitchen lights installed in various parts of the kitchen – on the ceiling, above the countertops, and islands, lights in open spaces of open-plan homes; in shops, lighting is used for ensuring that customers can see the merchandise as well as fulfilling the general purpose of lighting. Combining three zones in E10-011 allows the cooking to function without using three different wall boxes.
The Alternative Is Three Plates
For three different single one-way switches, three boxes and frame prepositions are utilized, making a total of 240mm wall used, which even surpasses the space available from a tiled splashback or a door reveal. At the same time, a single E10-011 requires only a single preposition in a frame size of 80 x 80 mm, making this type more in demand.
Rocker Identification
In case of having three separate rockers on one single plate, it is essential that the user knows what each rocker operates. Labels of superior quality can be applied as a part of OEM order. Additionally, ODM programs may provide determination for the color of the plate or the way of engraving in regard to the project’s way of direction.
Consistent Mechanism
Every rocker uses the same red copper contact assembly with silver alloy contacts across the entire range of switches, ensuring that the performance and reliability of switching remain consistent whether using one, two, or three modules. Also, the PC module measuring 80 x 80mm is suitable for every E10 frame.

E10-011 – Three Lighting Groups at One Doorway
The module assists in making grouping decisions in commercial applications as well. For example, a lighting circuit can be used from only one switch despite the inability of this circuit to share the protective circuit. The designer must discuss with the specifier regarding grouping in the design in order to decide if three switches are needed in this case or only two switches will suffice.

Buying Guide
- Walk the plan and note every position where three or more lighting circuits are operated together.
- Check each of those circuits for a second control position; any that has one must use the two way modules instead.
- Confirm the group order left to right so the rockers match the lighting zones on site.
- Decide whether labels or engraving are needed for identification in commercial installations.
- Choose the supply format: finished plates, or modules plus frames for local assembly.
- Approve a sample module and confirm the configuration with our team.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a 3 gang switch used for?
One controller can command up to three lighting groups, making it convenient for use in zoning, such as controlling lights over the kitchen ceiling, worktop, and island, or for regulating three lighting areas within open plan living spaces. Controllers of this kind are frequently found in commercial interiors where multiple light groups can be managed from one point.
Can all three gangs work separately?
Yes. Each of the three rockers is isolated from the others electrically, allowing each circuit to be controlled independently. This is an advantage since it provides you with the possibility of using various protective devices for the circuits at the distribution board while controlling them all from one switch.
Is there a 3 gang 2 way version?
The E10 module sheet describes two-way and intermediate switch modes in single and double gang modules (E10-002, E10-003 and E10-007). Three circuits can generally be controlled in two ways using a multi-gang frame that contains two modules including either two double two-way modules or one double module and one single two-way module.
How much wall space does it need?
One frame position module dimensions measures 80mm in width and 80mm in height, but the power module requires only one wall box for installation since it is a single gang switch. However, the scenario is different if one has three such switches which will require three wall boxes making it occupy near about 240mm of wall space. Given this, many prefer a triple module not for any economical reason but rather layout requirements.
Can I have labels printed on the plate?
Plate printing, which constitutes part of the OEM program, is known to bring the benefit of applying either rockers or the plate to show the labels that are usually needed for the purposes of commercial installation. When you make an inquiry, send the text you plan to use with the layout so that it can be verified during the sample stage.
What is the MOQ on a three gang module?
MOQ for every product is different due to the choice of things such as plate color, type of labeling, packaging mode and whether the order is mixed; it will be confirmed in the quote.
