Key Features & Typical Use
Fast Charging as a Replacement Decision
When room outlets are getting replaced, the extra cost of adding the faster charging option is negligible when compared to the cost of going back to the same place at a later point. This is the reason why fast charging installations tend to happen during renovation and not as an independent upgrade, since the wall is conceptual open anyway (even if physically it is not dismantled yet).
Where the Speed Is Noticed
Quick charging is important as far as the places are concerned where mobile phones are charged in a hurry, like a bedroom, guest bedroom, or home office. The second position is usually provided by a standard of 5V 2,1A. Both positions use the same panel and housing, so a project can specify the details of which places will get which.
Compact Panel Keeps the Swap Simple
A substitute that makes the plate bigger transforms five minutes into a decoration activity. The panel height remains at 73 mm with the fast-charging device fitting our previous outlet’s area meaning the upgrade will occupy the same amount of space as the previous one.
No Adapter to Lose
Integrating the charger into the socket means you do not have to deal with an external adapter as it will be lost in a hotel or property rental, and subsequently replaced. Also, landlords and operators benefit from the visibility of the charger to guests and tenants, not just from its practicality.

EF-019 – The Refurbishment Position That Ends Up Better Than New Build
Typically, a room that has been renovated to a reasonable standard would end up with better sockets than it originally had since the socket happens to be the cheapest way to add functionality while the electrician is redecorating. The 20W charging socket is the best representation of this: same box, same wire, the plate corresponds to the old hole and the device does not require the adapter to remain in the wall.
It can be said that, for a distributor, the module constitutes the top of the compact socket line and is not considered a separate product. The module has the same housing as the plain Schuko socket and the 5V 2.1A version. There is also a French version of the module available as EF-021. This means that the entire market can be served with only one compact panel family able to cover all plain, standard, and fast charging outlets using both socket types.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does a 20W charging socket replace an ordinary socket directly?
That’s right. It can use the existing wall box and the same circuit and wire as the outlet that it replaces, which makes installation a simple change out. The only difference is the charging function it features.
Which is better, 5V 2.1A or 20W?
This is contingent upon the area. The 20W model is appropriate for bedrooms, guest rooms, and study areas where devices need to be charged frequently and quickly while the 5V 2.1A model will work for utility and secondary spaces. Both can be included in the same compact panel design, so the choice must be made depending on each particular room.
Can the socket be used while the USB ports are charging?
Yes. The charging circuit functions independently from the mains plug. Hence, an appliance connected to the Schuko plug will function while simultaneously charging devices through the USB ports.
Why is a compact panel relevant to a charging socket?
Charging sockets are commonly installed during renovation, post wall finishing. The height of the 73mm makes the new fitting stay exactly where the original socket was used thus eliminating unnecessary work around the box.
Is the French format available at 20W?
The EF-021 includes the Type E socket from France that has both USB-A and Type C connections, allowing workspace projects to offer the socket technology that businesses need depending on their charging capabilities.
Can branded modules and other EF devices be ordered together?
Indeed, switches, sockets, and data modules pertaining to EF series utilize the same frames and panel finishes. EIF series offers the option to add OEM branding to each of the products in this series. Minimum Order Quantity is confirmed for the individual product in the quote humanitarian.
