One Plate Instead of Two
The lights and a fan or a mirror light are normally operated in a bathroom via a switch near the entrance. Each single switch requires that two cavities be cut, two frames positioned, two part numbers selected for the installation, and so on. The same function can be performed by the module E10-006 with just one 80 x 80 mm box. This is the reason why this product is the most frequently specified module for bathrooms, rooms with attached bathrooms, and utility rooms.
Independent Rockers
Both of the rockers are electrically isolated from each other so that the switching of any of them is done independently. This feature has great importance in the case where the circuit that is responsible for a constant-running extractor is done with the circuit that operates the light in a room, thus protecting the circuits separately on that stage in case the project needs it.
Two Gang, Single Way
This module’s rocker switches operate in one direction only, which is optimal for circuits controlled from a single location. If one of the two circuits is a light in the hallway or landing needing switching from a second location, order the E10-007 instead since the two modules look the same on the wall and the difference is established only on the wiring diagram.
Consistent across the Range
The module uses the same plate material, mechanism and interface as the other members of the E10 family, making it possible to use any combination of double switches, single switches, sockets or data modules and still achieve the same look and feel. The switch mechanism consists of red copper and contains silver alloy contacts.

E10-006 – The Double Switch That Cleans Up Wet Room Walls
The wet room has a specific lighting scheme: one light above the sink, an extractor fan operated from lightswitches, and possibly a light above the mirror or a shaver socket. E10-006 uses three light switches and can be installed in one single box at the designated spot; fewer light boxes installed means less time spent operating with tiles, as that is where the savings come from.

What does 2 gang 1 way mean on a light switch?
With two gang meaning the plate or module has 2 switch units while 1-way means that each of these switch units can control the circuit from its one location. Thus, E10-006 is a device capable of controlling two independent lighting circuits from one location without having the second control point.
Can I use it for a bathroom light and an extractor fan?
That’s a standard use case. The two switches operate independently from each other and can be used to turn on and off the extractor and the bulb separately. If the extractor must operate for a while after the bulb is turned off, this is managed by the extractor and not the switch.
What is the difference between E10-006 and E10-007?
These are two distinct gang modules. While both rockers in the E10-006 operate in one direction only, both rockers in the E10-007 allow for two-way operation, making it possible to operate the circuit from an alternative point. They look the same post-installation, so the decision is to be made on the wiring plan before ordering.
Can one rocker be replaced by a socket?
It is not on the same module; a module could be defined as either of switches or of sockets. A two-gang frame module can combine both a switch and a socket module to achieve the same purpose in the same footprint. This combination is very commonly found in hotel rooms and small office rooms.
Do I need a 2 gang frame for a 2 gang switch?
The dimensions of the module are 80 x 80 mm, which makes it compatible with all E10 frames from one to five gang. Either two individual one-gang plates can accommodate one module each, or a two-gang frame can fit two modules adjacent to each other.
